Josh O’Dell, PTA

Josh is from Petersburg, WV where he was rather busy playing 3 sports year round. After suffering an ACL tear playing football, he required surgical repair followed by intensive physical therapy to be able to play baseball in the upcoming months. Throughout his time spent in physical therapy doing his own rehab, he found helping others recover from injury was something he wanted to do in the future.

He graduated from WVU with a bachelors in exercise physiology, minor in communication and emphasis in aquatic therapy. He has extensive training in aquatic therapy and you will likely be assisted by him at some point if you come to the clinic for the pool. He then attended the physical therapist assistant program at Pierpont Community and Technical college and began working for PRO PT In August of 2016.

Josh is known around the clinic for always smiling even when he barely sleeps due to his 5 month old twins. He is the “Mr. Fix-it” around the clinic performing his usual duties in patient care as well as carpentry, electrical and mechanical work when the issue arises. He is also notoriously known for tossing objects and/or making some kind of noise so feel free to yell at him when this occurs because he is likely oblivious that he is doing it.
