What We do
Balance/Fall Prevention
Balance and fall prevention in physical therapy focuses on improving an individual's ability to maintain balance and reduce risk for falls. Therapists use a variety of exercises and techniques to enhance strength, coordination, flexibility, and proprioception (the body's awareness of its position in space). These exercises often target the lower body, core stability, and functional movements, while also addressing any environmental or behavioral factors that may contribute to falls. The goal is to reduce the risk of falling, improve confidence in movement, and help individuals regain independence in daily activities. Balance and fall prevention is particularly important for older adults or individuals with neurological conditions, musculoskeletal issues, or vestibular disorders.
